Great guest house. Victoria was super efficient. The choice of breakfast was fabulous and she went out shopping to get exactly the required ingredients to make everything perfect for us. The interior of the guest house was absolutely fabulous. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Bike storage was available. Victoria was incredibly helpful and recommended a great place for us to eat in the evening. Ballater is such a beautiful place to visit. We thoroughly recommend a visit and look forward to visiting again. Thank you!
Thank you for a wonderful stay at Netherley Rooms. Beautiful location, lovely view, comfortable rooms. Plenty of space & loads of parking right outside. Our three children loved the excellent speed of WiFi & the Netflix. Housekeeper Shona was very helpful & lovely to chat with for local info. Communication from the owners was outstanding.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and the overall comfort of the room — everything felt fresh, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared. The bed was incredibly cozy, and after a day exploring the area, it was the perfect place to unwind. One of the biggest highlights was the location — charming local shops and fantastic restaurants are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore without needing the car. Whether you’re in the mood for a relaxed coffee or a romantic dinner, there’s something for everyone right on the doorstep. Ballater itself is full of things to do — from scenic walks and cycling routes to historic sites and outdoor adventures, we were spoiled for choice. Whether you're looking for activity or relaxation, this area really has it all. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already planning our next visit. Stayed for one Saturday night in August, great place. Rooms were spotless and very well equipped. Situated right in centre of town so ideal for getting around. Definitely recommend Netherley rooms and would be more than happy to stay there again.
